Marketing Support and Training Manager UBM/MT005

 

The key objective of this position is to manage the learning implementation process of our training product offering, as well as to manage the provision of operational support to the marketing areas. The position has a strong coaching, coordination and relationship building focus and this manager has to ensure that all support and learning interventions are rendered timely, cost effectively, meeting the set quality standards.


Your Responsibilities include the following:


• Manage the implementation and integration of the learning process in your business service area.
• Develop and manage a plan for the provision of operational support to the company’s marketing functions.
• Build and maintain positive relations with the management teams and staff and provide regular feedback.
• Manage the national learning teams and provide coaching support to team members where needed.
• Identify training needs, marketing support needs, problem areas and performance improvement opportunities and make relevant recommendations
• Assess application and integration of learning into the workplace and provide feedback.
• Provide management information and statistics on the status of training and operational support in your business service areas.
• Provide input for improvements and enhancements to Quality and Development teams.
• Implement and maintain Quality Assurance principles and processes.

Knowledge and experience required for the role

• A relevant tertiary qualification
• At least 5 years experience as a learning facilitator and developer of training and development programmes
• At least 3 years experience in the management of a department or section.
• Some experience in project management, performance improvement and an Assessor and Moderator qualification will count in your favour
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant skills development and industry legislation
• Knowledge and understanding of business processes, insurance products and the insurance industry
• Willingness and ability to travel
